Infinite Meanings of Christmas by Danny

Hello everyone! Danny has sent me another post that he’d like to share. In this post he references a song, to which I will try to include the video below the post for you all to check out!  Disclaimer: I did go through and edit this before posting for any grammatical errors, but did not change the content of the writing.

Greetings everyone! It looks like we only have a few more days left before Christmas day finally arrives! As promised, here is my weekly blog post for you all to read and hopefully enjoy.

First off, before I write this week’s blog, let’s take a moment to recognize Scott Stearns again, and thank him very much for getting me started on these weekly blogs. Honestly, when I first started doing this, I didn’t think I would ever make the time to do this because just like everybody else, I also have a moderately busy schedule that really limits my free time. However, after seeing several people liking and sharing what I post, it gives me a warm feeling inside that motivates me to keep going ahead and seeking motivation and inspiration to make this happen every week. For all those who read, share, or like my posts, thank you all very much!

Now then, since Christmas is only a few days away, let’s talk a little bit about this holiday. For most of us, when we think of Christmas, we may think about gifts, trees, lights, snowmen, eggnog, etc. But what is the real meaning of Christmas for everyone? The truth, is there are multiple beliefs for how we celebrate. As I have looked around, and seen so many ways to celebrate, I can’t help but smile because the first thing I see are smiles. To me, the greatest gift for me is to see a smile, and a glow in everyone’s eyes as they embrace and enjoy this special day. Christmas isn’t all about giving or getting gifts wrapped in paper topped with a bow, it’s not about running around in the snow, it’s not about fancy lights, it’s about getting together with those you love, and enjoying the aura of love and happiness together as you celebrate.

For many people, they may not enjoy this holiday just like you and me because they may be missing a loved one who they have lost. It’s important to remember those as well because you may be the one who comes into their space and make them smile again so they can continue to enjoy this day. For those who are currently still grieving the death of a loved one, know that I am right there with you because I am still grieving myself. However, one special song written by Craig Aven managed to get me to realize that those I lost, are here with me to celebrate. This song is called Where You Are (Son of God). “Although this year I have a broken heart, it gives me hope and joy as I remember where you are. You’re with the Son of God, you’re with the Prince of Peace. You’re with the one we’re celebrating, and that thought amazes me. Sometimes I still break down, grieving that we’re apart. But the sweetest gift, is knowing where you are. You’re with the Son of God”. Those lyrics there, made me realize that it’s okay to cry when you miss them. No matter where you are, they will be right there with you inside your heart celebrating this special day.

Before I end this blog, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Please do try to celebrate this day as best you can, and do enjoy it. Even if there are moments of family drama, or if you miss someone, no matter what the cause, it’s important to remember that love is very powerful, and can help you overcome anything. Love is what brings everyone together for the holidays, even if there are dull moments within. Besides that, maybe if there weren’t any dull moments, perhaps nothing interesting would come about?

I do hope this blog is helpful to those who read! Happy Holidays everyone! Love to you all! Peace!
