This will be noted as my very first WWE or pro-wrestling related post.
I am posting this because this match I am excited for, not because of the hype, but because WWE finally is giving the fans what they want.
Granted, a lot of fans do not want Goldberg to face Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is known recently for his ruthless style, and seemingly doing the same old moves over and over again. Between the suplex and the F-5. So, this match will probably not be any different.
Also good to note, it has been 12 years since Goldberg has wrestled. Not just in WWE, but at all. He, unlike many others, did not make an appearance in TNA. So, you may ask why I am excited for this match?
Simple. I am a fan of Goldberg, and the 1990’s stars are who I grew up. Undertaker, Kane, Sting, Goldberg, The Rock, Stone Cold and the list goes on and on. So to me, this match is just a simple flashback of seeing if Goldberg, at his age, can still do this. Recently, we have seen stars like The Undertaker deliver, granted not at his prime, but still giving great matches.
So. Here is my prediction. I think Goldberg, like many others, will lose against Brock Lesnar, which is fine. It’s the way it ends that would be the key. It should not be a clean win because that gives the illusion that Goldberg can still do this, and opens up for another match, possibly at the Rumble or WrestleMania.
I will do a blog post after tomorrow night giving my thoughts on the end of the show, and how the match ended. Also, for those who believe Brock Lesnar cannot do anymore than 2 moves, watch this match below with him one on one with Kurt Angle.
